TechPoint Foundation is a social venture capital organization with the mission to assist Indiana’s at-risk youth develop the 21st Century skills needed for success in a global, information economy.

Our Vision

We accomplish our mission thru investments in promising organizations throughout Indiana. Our goal is to discover those organizations that have the potential for high impact in the community, and then mobilize resources to help them build the internal capacity to achieve it.

This includes multi-year financial support, in addition to professional expertise, advice and other in-kind services recruited from members of the technology community.

Our History

Founded and headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, TechPoint Foundation is organized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization since its founding. TechPoint Foundation is a supporting organization of Central Indiana Community Foundation (“CICF”) and the philanthropic sister organization to TechPoint.

As Indiana entered the 21st Century, a small group of technology entrepreneurs had a common vision. They recognized many young Hoosiers lacked the knowledge and opportunity to develop the skills necessary for success in Indiana’s growing information economy. They believed it was the responsibility of Indiana’s technology sector to provide leadership and resources to eliminate this digital divide and provide opportunities for at-risk youth to obtain 21st Century skills so vital in today’s workforce. These technology entrepreneurs shared their vision with other community leaders, and in 2001, they founded TechPoint Foundation.

Since 2002, TechPoint Foundation has helped Indiana’s technology community provide volunteers, in-kind services and over $600,000 in financial support to technology literacy and education reform programs across Indiana.
